Obituary

Warren A. Lohnes, age 81, formerly of Weymouth, passed away at the Norwell Knoll Nursing Home on Sunday January 29, 2012. Warren was the husband for 60 years of Dolores R. (Pickard) Lohnes. He is survived by his children, Robert W. Lohnes and his wife Ginny of Abington and Debra L. Lohnes of Abington and her fiancé, Frank Murphy of Duxbury; his grandchildren Brian Lohnes and his wife Kerri of Abington, Susann Shea and her husband Jim of Hadley, Amanda Dalrymple and Leah Dalrymple both of Abington and his great grandsons, Tom and Jack Lohnes both of Abington.
Warren was born and lived in Weymouth until he moved to Hanover in 1986. Before he established Lohnes Pallets of Hanover in 1973 Warren was a foreman at Boston Gear Works. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of Hanover for their annual Christmas Tree Drive. Warren served his country in the Army during World War II.
Visiting Hours will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday February 2 from 4 to 8 P.M. The Funeral Service will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Warren’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
