Obituary

Julie Marie Whitney-Blair, 47, of Framingham, died suddenly at home on January 26, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Glenn Blair with whom she shared 17 years of marriage.
Born in Waltham, the daughter of the late John A. “Jack” and Joan C. (Sweet) Whitney, Julie was raised and educated in Natick graduating from Natick High School in 1982. She went on to study at Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley. Julie went to work as a customer service representative at Sun-Life Insurance Company in Wellesley and then moved to New York where she was employed by GNA Insurance of New York in Purchase, New York. While living in New York, Julie met her husband and was married. Together they returned to Natick in 1993 and Julie dedicated her self to being a devoted wife and mother. She was extremely artistic, loved music and animals, and enjoyed reading.
In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by her cherished daughters Emily and Kallea Whitney-Blair. She was the sister of Katherine Kacavich and her husband Bill of Natick, Michelle Whitney and her husband Paul Zonghi of Mendon, Joan Harris of Natick, and John Whitney and his wife Kim of Natick; daughter-in-law of Alfred “Ted” Blair and the late Arlene (Sczerba) Blair of Port Jervis, N.Y.; and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friend are cordially invited to attend Julie’s funeral in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, Julie’s family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Emily and Kallea Whitney-Blair Education Fund c/o Natick Federal Savings Bank, 49 North Main St. Natick, MA 01760.
