Tyngsboro - formerly of Tewksbury, Martha T. (Makarewicz) Jasilewicz, age 83, died January 26, at Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford, after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late, Benjamin Jasilewicz who died in 1970. She was born in Cambridge, on October 25, 1928, the only child of the late, Alojzy and Franciska Makarewicz. She was raised in the Boston area, lived the greatest part of her life in Tewksbury, before living her retirement years in Tyngsboro.
She retired as a CNA from Tewksbury Hospital, devoted her life to caring for her family, and was most generous to all charitable causes.
She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law; John & Antoinette Jasilewicz of Tewksbury, Paul & Lipa Jasilewicz of Oregon, Michael & Kathleen Jasilewicz of Tewksbury, Frank Jasilewicz of Oregon, Peter & Patricia Jasilewicz of NH, Joseph Jasilewicz of FL, twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her extended family Chris & Kelcie Keane of Tyngsboro. She was the grandmother of the late, Benjamin Jasilewicz.
The family is especially grateful to the staff at the Palm Manor Nursing Home for taking such good care of Martha.
Her Funeral Service was held Tuesday, January 31, 2012, burial followed at Wildwood Cemetery, in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Tewksbury Food Pantry, 999 Whipple Road, Tewksbury, MA 01876, are appreciated.
