Mary C. (Araujo) Lima of Brockton, formerly of New Bedford, died Sunday January 22, 2012 peacefully at home. She was the wife of the late Vitorino D. Lima.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Jose R. and Maria (dos Santos) Araujo, she lived in Connecticut for many years. She returned to New Bedford in 2005, and moved to Brockton to live with family members last year.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Lima was formerly employed as an inspector for Uniroyal Tire Company in Connecticut. She also had been a certified nurses aide in Connecticut and at Taunton State Hospital.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Lillian, Frank, Minerva, and Peter Araujo.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 2, 2012 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
