LILLIAN HELEN (GALLINA) TAYLOR, 89, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012.
She a native of Queens, NY and had worked as a secretary for the Los Angeles County Engineers Office. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Lillian was a great mom who loved her garden, was a superb baker and loved her granddog, Lizzie. She was a wonderful oil paint artist, as well as an excellent solver of crossword puzzles and a great story teller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Paulina Gallina; sister, Charlotte Scaglia and her former husband, Ephraim Taylor.
She is survived by her children, Denise McCarley (Kyle) and Scott Taylor (Joyce); grandchildren, James (Vangie) and Eric Taylor; and great grandchild, Victoria Jane Taylor.
Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Oak Lawn Nursing home for their loving care and support.
Her memorial service will be 11am Thurdsday at Christ Lutheran Church, 9212 Taylorsville Road, with visitation immediately following the service. Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown entrusted with arrangements.
