Paul Gregory Walde, age 61 of Berkley, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Rose Marie (Anselmo) Walde. Born in Buffalo, NY, he is the son of Paul Raymond & Georgia (Euerle) Walde of Oklahoma City, OK. Mr. Walde worked as a Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the V.F.W., an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America, and a parishioner of St. Bernard Church, Assonet.
Besides his wife & parents, he is survived by his children: Michael Sean Walde of Berkley and Sarah Anne Fanous of Boston; a sister: Paula Jean Metzger of Buffalo, NY; and many nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Assonet at 9:00 A.M. Cremation to follow. Calling hours FRIDAY 4-8 P.M.
