LOWELL - Helen E. (Ames) Rantz, age 88, died peacefully, Tuesday, January 23 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury after declining health this past year. She was the beloved wife of the late, Warren Rantz who predeceased her in 2002. She was born in Medford, a twin daughter of the late Ernest and Minerva (Riggs) Ames. Her life was spent in quiet devotion to her family.
She is survived by two sons; Leonard Rantz and his wife JoAnne (Silva) of Tewksbury, Don Rantz of East Brunswick, N.J., a twin sister; Harriet E. Ames of Lowell, two grandchildren; Kristen (Rantz) Springer and her husband Randy of Lowell, Matthew Rantz and his wife Lora (Marcella) of Hingham, four great grandchildren; Jeffrey, Brian, Megan, Noah, and a very good family friend; Donald Paquette of East Brunswick, N.J.
A graveside service will be privately held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA 01960. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
