Jane K. Feroli age 73 of Brockton, died Saturday January 21, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. Jane was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late John J. and Kathryn A. (Dennehy) Harrington and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
A 1956 graduate of Brockton High School she received her bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State College and earned master’s degrees from Boston University and Lesley College. She spent her life being an educator and a student. She taught in the Fall River Public School System for many years in different positions. In her retirement, Jane was a tutor for homeless children in the Schools on Wheels program.
In her free time, Jane enjoyed miniature doll houses, spending time on the Cape with her family. Jane was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She attended St. Ann Church in West Bridgewater and was a member of the Ladies Prayer Shawl Group. A born teacher, she loved helping others and was especially proud of her children and grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her two sons Matthew J. Feroli of Brockton and Christopher J. Feroli and his wife Catherine of Mashpee. She was the sister of Lee Harrington of Brockton and grandmother of Andrea and Heather Gardner, and CJ Feroli.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 5-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater at 9am.
