Joan E. Flaherty 57, of Natick passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, at the Milford Regional Hospital.
Joan was the devoted daughter of Rita H. (Horan) Flaherty of Natick and the late Thomas F. Flaherty.
She also leaves one sister Patricia (Flaherty) Sullivan and her husband Dennis of Natick, three brothers Michael Flaherty and his wife Karen of Holliston, Stephen Flaherty of Ireland, Timothy McMahon of Natick, and her longtime companion Stephen Lucas of Natick.
Joan also leaves her beloved nieces and nephews.
She was a kind, caring, goodhearted and took care of everyone. She was a devoted caregiver to the elderly, and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Joan was loved by many and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.
