Mary “Bento” Souza Faria, age 94, passed away Jan. 21, 2012. She was a resident of Somerset Ridge Nursing Care Center for the last 10 years, previously she lived in Westport and at 1198 N. Main St, Fall River. She was the wife of the late Antone B. Faria and the daughter of the late Manuel “Bento” & Francelina Souza. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Faria worked for Tick Tock Frocks as a Sewing Machine Operator. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Faria (wife Diane) of Westport; 2 grandchildren: Adam Faria & Ashley Souza both of Westport; her sister Francis Bento Curry of S. Dartmouth; & several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Bento Souza
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
