Mrs. Linda A. (Masse) Lavelle, of Taunton, died Saturday, January 21 in the Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Lavelle. She was born 61 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of Eileen (Beaulieu) Masse and the late Alfred L. Masse. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School, and was also a graduate of the St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in New Bedford. She was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse for the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Mass. for 25 years. Linda loved spending time at the beach, camping, and laughing with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, of Taunton, she leaves: 2 daughters: Kelsey Dearborn of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Meagan Witkus of Asheville, N.C.; 1 stepson: Joe Lavelle of Roslindale; 1 stepdaughter: Jennifer Lavelle of New York City, N.Y.; 2 brothers: Roland Masse of Brazil, and Alfred Masse of Taunton; 1 sister: Janice Simmons of Taunton; 3 grandchildren: Rylie MacKinnon, Drew Dearborn, and Owen Dearborn, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
