Obituary


Hampton, NH- Jeanne H (Lebel) Kenison, 71, died on January 13, 2012 after being struck by an automobile in Ft Lauderdale, FL.
Born in Manchester, NH on October 11, 1940, she was the daughter of Alfred and Rachel (Gauthier) Lebel.
She attended school in Manchester and graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, NH. While living in Florida she earned a Master of Arts degree and an MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park. She received her Doctorate in Education from Vanderbilt University in 1986.
Dr. Kenison retired from Saint Anselm College in May 2010 where she had taught since 1988 and had served as the Chairperson of the Department of Economics and Business beginning in 1994. Prior to joining the faculty at Saint Anselm, she taught in the Mathematics Department at New Hampshire College and had been a math teacher at Exeter High School.
A long time resident of Hampton Beach, NH, she was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling in Europe and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her husband of almost 49 years, Arthur M Kenison of Hampton, NH; daughter Tracy Kenison and her husband Scott Holt of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter Dale Kenison-Barnes and her husband Daniel of Strafford, NH; three granddaughters, Rachel Kenison, Summer Barnes and Raven Barnes; and her sister, Diane Connell and her husband Bruce of Manchester NH.
Services: Calling hours will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at JN Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:00am at The Abbey Church at Saint Anselm College, Saint Anselm Drive in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Anselm Scholarship Fund, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102.
