Obituary

Constance M. (Jason) Shea, 79, of New Bedford died March 25, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Robert John Shea, the former owner of Gold Bond Powder Company.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Chester H. and Gertrude (Pierce) Jason, she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.

Mrs. Shea was formerly employed as an elementary school teacher at the Hathaway School and the Carter Brooks School for over 20 years until her retirement.

She was a volunteer and Board Member for New Bedford Child and Family Services.

Mrs. Shea enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include 2 sons, Michael Shea, and his wife Cindy, of Dartmouth, and Richard Shea, and his wife Ellen, of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Maureen Williams, and her husband John, of Carver, and Patricia Thibeault, and her husband Dennis, of East Freetown; and 7 grandchildren, Erin DaSilva, Colleen Cook, Ryan Shea, Megan Thompson, Amy Thompson, Patrick Shea and Molly Shea.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday, March 29th at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday, March 28th from 4-7 PM.

Interment Rural Cemetery.
