Obituary

Donald F. Jackson Jr., age 55, Of North Reading formerly of Reading and Winchester, passed away January 17th, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center following a lengthy illness. His loving family was by his side. He was the beloved husband of Victoria A. (Tambone) together sharing 34 years of marriage. Born in Chelsea he was the son of Margaret T (Meaney) of Reading and the late Donald F. Jackson.

Donald was raised in Winchester where he attended Winchester Schools. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1976 and proudly and honorably served until 1982. Donald worked for many years as superintendent in the construction industry and worked for several builders over the years. Mostly devoted to his loving family, Donald enjoyed and cherished being with his wife and children. For many years he was very active with Reading Youth Hockey. He loved watching his son play and also enjoyed coaching for many years. He was a former member of the Winchester Knights of Columbus.

In Addition to his beloved wife and mother, Donald is survived by his son, Richard Jackson of Medford and daughter, Jennifer Jackson of No. Reading. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Jackson and his wife Lisa of No. Andover, sisters, Theresa A. Deroo and her husband Richard of Reading, Kathleen M. Maida and her husband Chuck of Stoneham. He was the son-in-law of Antonio and Elma Tambone of Belmont. Dear cousin of Gayle Lewis and her fiancé Johnny Luciano of Framingham. He is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, January 21st, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wood End Cemetery, Reading. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville FL, 32256.
