Janice C. (Roberts) DeLutis, 84, of Harwichport and formerly of Walpole died January 17 in Cape Cod Hospital. She was the wife of the late Guido P. DeLutis.
Born in East Walpole, July 7, 1927, the daughter of the late George E. and Madeline (Hoyt) Roberts, Mrs. DeLutis had lived in Walpole until moving to Harwichport in 1989.
She was a 1945 graduate of Walpole High School.
Mrs. DeLutis had been a secretary for the Beaver Coal and Oil Company, Bird and Son and Just Right Cleaners in Norwood.
Since living on the Cape she had been a volunteer driver for the senior citizens in need of transportation.
Janice was a member of the Common Grounds and was an avid cribbage player at the Harwich Senior Center.
She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making Irish step dancing outfits and enjoyed the beach.
She is survived by her children, James DeLutis and his wife Sara of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Elaine Fiorio and her husband Dino of Walpole and step-daughter Lynne Tondre of Williston, Vermont.
She was the sister of Norman "Bud" and Donald Roberts of Edgewater, Florida.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Glenn Amber of Bridgewater, Francesca DeLutis of Los Angles,CA, Rosanna and Amanda DeLutis of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Cassie Johnson of Franklin, Gina Erdmann and Michael Fiorio of Walpole.
She is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21 in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
