Mrs. Pauline Geraldine Fields, 82, or 236 Church st., Cordova, died Monday, January 16, 2012 in Sandhills Regional Medical Center.
Services will be private.
Pauline was born in Middleton, Ohio on September 24, 1929, daughter of the late Coy and Viola Housewright Henderson. She worked in laundries and restaraunts, and for many years was a regular contributor to the Letters to the Editor of the Richmond County Daily Journal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Hayden Thompson.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Fields; two sons, James Fields, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Buddy Fields of the home; two daughters, Suzanna Parker of Russell Springs, KY, Tina Thompson of Rockingham; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
