Georgette (Bardawil) Nahill, age 88 of Lawrence, Ma, died at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA on January 14th, 2012 after a long illness. She was born on February 20th, 1923 in Zahle, Lebanon, the daughter of Najla and Haical Bardawil.
At age one, she emigrated with her family from Lebanon to Linares, Mexico. The second of eleven children, she was raised and educated in Mexico where she worked with her father in the family business. In 1944, she married George A. Nahill and moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts where they raised their seven children. She and George were married for 52 years until his death in 1995.
She worked at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover for over 25 years until her retirement. Mrs. Nahill was also a very active member of St. Joseph Melkite Church, the Daughters of St. Joseph, and the Publican Prayer Group, and was a sponsor of the Association of Miraculous Medal and St. Basil's Seminary.
She is survived by her son, Robert Nahill and his wife Elizabeth of Plymouth, MA, her daughters, Elaine Johnson and her husband Alexander of Portland, OR, Joyce Hankey and her husband William of Andover, MA., and Donna McCarthy and her husband John of Methuen, MA.
She leaves eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nahill is also survived by her siblings and their families: Wadi Bardawil of Chicago, Ill, Isabel Romero, Enrique Bardawil, Josefina Bardawil and Haical Bardawil, of Linares, Mexico and Yvonne Ganem of Downey, CA, and her sisters-in-law: Edith Nahill of North Andover and Hilda Nahill of Salem, NH.
She is also the mother of Brenda Nahill-Duberstein, Walter Nahill and William Nahill who predeceased her. She was predeceased by her siblings Consuelo Nahill, Edmundo Bardawil, Gloria Besil, and Violeta Dib.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she enjoyed numerous lifelong friendships, and will be greatly missed.

Her funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, January 20th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Joseph Melkite Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow at the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA.
