Obituary

Raymond L. “Jack” White, Jr., 80 of Medford, died Saturday after a long illness in the Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Home, Cambridge, MA.

Born in Washington, DC, he lived in Medford and was formerly of Somerville. He was the son of the late Mabel (Davis) and Raymond L. White Sr. Jack retired in 1999 from Harvard University Health Services as Associate Director of Environmental Health and Safety after 31 years. He was a late US Navy Korean War veteran from 1951 to 1954 and was a member of the USS Salem Association.

Beloved husband of Josephine (Salerno) White. Devoted father of Raymond L. White III and his wife Marie of Tewksbury, Nancy Curtin and her husband Michael of Easton. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Stephanie, Elizabeth and Deirdre. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.

Services will conclude with burial at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Raymond’s name to the Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Home, 65 Chilton St., Cambridge, MA 02138.
