Obituary

Marie (Armstrong) Rosse, 77, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
Born in Danvers on June 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Aime J. and Nora T. (Callahan) Armstrong. The eldest of eleven children, she was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1952. She went on to graduate from the Radiology Program at Salem Hospital.
A Radiology Technician for many years, Marie worked at Salem Hospital and at the former Symmes Hospital in Arlington.
A longtime Bedford resident, she had resided in Peabody for many years. She had a special love of animals, especially birds, and was a member of the Audubon Society and the Explorers Group. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Rosse of Rowley and Bradley E. Rosse and his wife Kate of Concord, three grandchildren, Evan Rosse of Chicago and Kyle and Sophia Rosse of Concord, four sisters, Helen Armstrong of Danvers, Kathleen Bannon of Danvers, Theresa Gentleman of Ipswich, and Nancy Donohue of California, a brother, Michael Armstrong of Beverly, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberle M. Rosse, and her siblings Julia Martin, Ann Getchell, and John, Robert, and William Armstrong.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
