Kevin T. Acheson, 57

Dateline: Norton, MA

Kevin T. Acheson, 57, of Norton, formerly of Foxboro, passed away surrounded by his loving family, in the comfort of his home, on Tuesday January 10, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Kathy Linfield- Acheson.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on October 23, 1954, he was a dear son of Yvette L. (Petit) Acheson of Taunton and the late William I. Acheson.
Kevin grew up and was educated in Taunton. He was a 1972 graduate of Taunton High School. Mr. Acheson was the President and CEO of United Plastering Systems in Bridgewater for over 30 years.
Since residing in Norton for the past 5 years, he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. An avid golfer, Kevin was a member of the LeBaron Country Club in Lakeville.
For many years Kevin had coached baseball and basketball. He loved spending time in the presences of his adoring family, dining out and listening to music.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his devoted children; Brook Dwyer and her husband Shane of CA, Bridget Levitt and her husband Will of CA, Kevin Acheson, Jr. of Foxboro, Alexandra Acheson of Norton, Steven Acheson of Foxboro, and Stephen Linfield, Eric Linfield and Stacie Linfield all of Norton. The adoring brother of Cherrie Acheson and her husband Ernest Hallquist of Rehoboth and William Acheson and his wife Paula of PA, he is also survived by his granddaughter Rielly Elizabeth Dwyer, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday January 14th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 13th from 4-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
In lieu of flowers, Kevin’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the National Brain Tumor Society www.braintumor.org
