Obituary

Louis J. Antonelli, 86, died January 6, 2012 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 6, 1925 in Chelsea, MA a son of the late John, Sr. and Adaline (Capalotti) Antonelli. He was raised in Westford, MA and lived most of his life in the Westford/Chelmsford area. He resided in Methuen, MA for more than 20 years, later living in Epsom, NH.
Mr. Antonelli served his country during World War II as a Sgt. in the Army Air Force, after which he worked throughout his life as a self-employed stone mason in the Chelmsford an then, Methuen, Ma. area. Mr. Antonelli enjoyed spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchild and was proud of being from a family of twelve. He was a member of the Riverside Assembly of God Church since 1981.
Members of the family include his daughter Rose-Marie St. Jean of Epsom, his ex-wife, Theresa Antonelli, three grandchildren, Randy St. Jean of Epsom, Desarae St. Jean of Manchester and Robert St. Jean, Jr. of Epsom, a great-grandson, Devon Farrell, two brothers, John and Henry Antonelli, both of Westford, three sisters, Mary Rogers and Rose Bielefeld, both of California, and Helen Nie of Carlisle, MA. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his best friend Tony Attardo.
A calling hour was held on Thursday January 12, 2012 from 9 – 10 am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Funeral services were held at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial with military honors followed at 12:00pm in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
