Steven P. Nelson, 59, of Windham, NH, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in his home. Mr. Nelson was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Donna M. (McGuirk) Nelson on August 16, 2011.
He was born in Worcester, MA on July 10, 1952, a son of Irene (Salvidio) Nelson and the late Herbert Nelson. He had been a resident of Windham for the past 33 years, formerly living in Worcester, MA. Mr. Nelson was employed by Diamond Antenna in procurement as well as for the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester And NH Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH. Mr. Nelson enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a devoted family man, whom many have said "deserved a front row seat in Heaven."
In addition to his mother of Worcester, he is survived by two sons, Zachary Nelson and his wife Amy of Derry, NH, and Matthew Nelson of Derry; one daughter, Stephanie Nelson of Windham; one granddaughter, Aroara Levy of Derry; one brother, Robert Nelson of Worcester, MA; one sister, Suzanne Lacravre of Tucson, AZ; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 13th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday at 9:30am in St. Matthews Church, 2 Searles Rd., Windham. The burial followed in the Cemetery on the Plain, Ministerial Rd. in Windham.
