Mrs. Stella M. Redmond
Evans, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, January 10, 2012, Mrs. Stella M. Redmond, 79, wife of the late Mr. Marvin F. Redmond.
Mrs. Redmond was born in Heber Springs, AR and lived in the Augusta area since 1962. Stella was a vital part of the family business, Redmond’s Auto Upholstery. She was a member and glorified God through many activities at Wesley United Methodist Church. Stella served on the worship committee where she designed over 50 beautiful banners that graced the church. From the beginning she was an active member of the PHD Sunday School class and helped with weekly newsletter mailings. She sewed over 3,500 stuffed animals for sick children through the Brittany’s Friends Ministry.
Family members include: daughters: Marion Metcalf (Danny) of Panacea, FL, Marlene Bridges (Jimmy) of Evans; son, Randall Redmond (Connie) of Evans; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a half sister, Carolyn Chunn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Porterfield, Rev. Pat Williams and Rev. Bob Gillespie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ministries at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Rd., Evans, GA 30809.
