Rose A. (Makarevich) Waniak, age 76, died, peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of Henry W. Waniak to whom she was married for 53 years. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston as a bookkeeper for 13 years and later worked for Computervision Corporation in Bedford as an assembler. Rose enjoyed volunteering at the Billerica Senior Center and Lahey Clinic Hospital for many years. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Debra Vaughan and her husband, David of Gardner, and Nancy Fiske of Brockton and her fianc, Paul Waters. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Nicole and Christopher Vaughan, Dwight and Drew Fiske, and Michael and Mitchell Whalen and her great-grandson, Braden Dow. She was also the grandmother of the late Lance P. Fiske. A memorial visitation will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (Rte. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 5-7 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
