Mary Adkison Lynn, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, at Evergreen Cemetery with Brother Danny Lovett officiating.
Mrs. Lynn was born March 28, 1929 in Colquitt County, GA to the late William Zackery and Minnie Bell Durley Peterson. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. Mrs. Lynn was a former seamstress for Fitzgerald Underwear. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, drawing, arts & Crafts and fishing.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Hobby, Oneta Grice and Faye (Jim) Harden all of Fitzgerald, Gordon (Dianne) Adkison of Cordele and Tommy (Suzanne) Adkison of Fitzgerald; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a brother, Arnold Adkisson of Fitzgerald. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. Lynn and two brothers.
