Obituary

Dorothy A. Walsh, of Reading formerly of Malden passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 10th, at the Wingate of Reading Nursing Center. She was 85. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Francis T. Walsh. Born in Malden she was one of nine children of the late William J. and Blanche E. (Bohan) Dingivan.

Dorothy was a retired waitress and hostess and worked for nearly thirty years at the former Brandano Restaurant of Malden. Mostly devoted to her family she enjoyed being with her children and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts and playing Bingo.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Patricia Stephenson and her husband Robert E. Jr. of Wakefield, David Walsh of Reading, Thomas F. Walsh and his wife Kathleen of Groton. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Janet Walsh of Wilmington, grandchildren, Patricia Bethune, Jennifer Kiley, Matthew Stephenson, Michele Walsh, Hannah Walsh and Robyn Walsh, great grandchildren, Joshua and Benjamin Bethune, Jill and Brandon Kiley.

In addition to her late husband and parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her son, John M. "Jack" Walsh, sisters, Mary Tower, Helen Kaulbach, Patricia Curry, Joan McVicker, Eleanor, Richard, William and Robert Dingivan.

Funeral services from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Tuesday, January 10th, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the mass from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to the American Cancer Society, Pancreatic& Liver Cancer Research, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
