Former Missoulian resident, Karen Koller, 69, died suddenly from cardiac arrest at her Winchester, Massachusetts home on January 6. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to Roland and Anna Vreeland. Karen attended Montclair State University and Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
Karen worked as an office manager in New York City previous to moving to Montana. She and her late husband, Paul Koller, opened and operated the Missoulian Angler for 20 years.
She is survived by her sisters, Anita Crane, of Titusville, New Jersey and Elaine Vreeland of Winchester, Massachusetts, as well as nieces and nephews, Bridget Crane Schleier, Daniel Crane, Rebecca Fischbach, and Thomas Fischbach.
Karen loved to watch the Missoula sunsets and care for her beloved Brittney Spaniels and her cats. Funeral Services are private. Those who wish may make donations in Karen’s name to their local ASPCA.
