Florence E. Stanley Abbott
Evans, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, January 07, 2012, Mrs. Florence E. Stanley Abbott, 97, wife of the late John E. Abbott.
Mrs. Abbott is a native of Farwell, MI. She was an Administrative Assistant to the Registrar at Middle GA College. Mrs. Abbott was a member of Abilene Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Family members in addition to her late husband include sons: John R. Abbott (Phyllis) of Martinsville, VA, James E. Abbott (Betsy) of Eatonton, GA; daughter: Dianne Mathis (Barry) of Martinez, GA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Thomas Poteet and Son Chapel with Rev. William Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. in Baldwin Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, GA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Abilene Baptist Church, 3917 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907 or to the Macon Outreach, c/o Mulberry Street UMC, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
