Obituary

Salem: Nancy Lee (Conners) Fraser, age 81, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Center in Salem. She was the wife of the late Leopold A. ‘Paul’ Fraser with whom she had shared 43 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Salem, She was the daughter of the late Robert V. and Anne Rose (Ronan) Conners. A graduate of St. James Elementary and High School, she first worked as a switchboard operator for New England Telephone Co. For several years she worked as a teachers’ aid for the City of Salem and later worked as a nurses’ aid for the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem. Nancy loved to travel and most importantly, loved being with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by 2 sons, Paul T. ‘Tom’ Fraser and his wife Janet of Salem, Timothy R. Fraser and his wife Debra A. of Swampscott, 2 daughters, Jeanine M. Marquez and her husband Memo of Salem, Patricia A. Fraser and John Giunta of Peabody, 2 sisters, Patricia A. Baker and her husband Charles of Nottingham, NH, Jane Bunaskavich of Peabody, a brother, Bernard Conners and his wife Yvonne of Lakeland, FL. She also leaves, 10 grandchildren, Danielle, Rachel, Anthony, Laurie, Renee, Kimberly, Victoria, Nicolette, Tara and Nicholas, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert and Gerald Conners.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem. Visiting hours: Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
