LATCH, Richard J. “Dick” - Passed away peacefully at the Bostonian Nursing Home in Dorchester on January 6, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Born in Boston, to the late Glenna Latch, he was the loving husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Kelly) Latch and father of Richard W. and many nieces and nephews.
Dick joined the U.S. Navy in 1946 and retired in 1966 after 20 years of service, he later joined the staff of Milton Academy where he worked for 34 years retiring for a second time in 2007. He was a member of the Dedham American Legion and the Dedham V.F.W Jacob Jones Post.
Funeral from the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, Jan. 10th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church, Readville at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday, Jan. 9th from 4-8 PM. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
