Jimmy Dale “Bo” Overbey, age 62, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home in Lafayette County, MS. He was born February 9, 1949 in Dyess, AR to the late John Deer and Pearlie Jo Overby. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. Bo enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved his family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral Services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:30 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Randy Bain officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Jessie Dub Higdon, Trea Higdon, Mike Beagle, Mike Hodge, Kelley Higdon and Patrick Higdon serving as pallbearers.
Bo is survived by his daughter, Crystal Pearl Magee (Brandon) of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Melba Senter of Sardis, MS and Mary Jo Ashcraft (Jack) of IL; a brother, Harold Overbey of MO; and three grandchildren, Jonathan David Kent, Christopher Chase Magee and Catie Magee.
In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Darlene Higdon Overbey; a daughter, Jamie Donna Diane Overbey; and two brothers, Bill and Sonny Overbey.
