Rollande Y. (Boivin) Joyal, 82, of Rathbun Street, died Wednesday, January 4th, in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, Westborough, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roland Joyal. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Eva (Hervieux) Boivin.
She had worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Texas Instruments for twenty three years, retiring in 1990. She especially loved caring for her cats.
Rollande was survived by her two sons, Gerard Joyal of Blackstone, MA and Marcel Joyal of Millville, MA, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Paul Boivin and Jeannette Beaudreault.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 9AM from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland Street, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Theresa's Church, Rathbun Street, Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Calling hours are Sunday from 5-8PM.
