Richard E. "Dick" Murray age 83 of Salem, NH, died Monday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Fall River, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He graduated from Coyle High School in Taunton, MA, and graduated from Durfey Tech in Fall River, MA. Mr. Murray was a resident of Salem, NH for the past45 years, formerly of Fall River, MA.
Mr. Murray was a retired Manufacturing Engineer for Avco in Wilmington, and Lowell, MA. He also worked for Sanders Corporation in Nashua, NH. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH and a member of the VFW Post 8546 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Salem, NH. He was a former Democratic Town Chairman in Salem, NH. He enjoyed politics, reading and golf and was a former member of Crystal Springs Golf Course in Haverhill, MA.
Mr. Murray was a US Navy veteran, serving in World War 2.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
