ABRAHAMSON, Elaine G. died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a long illness. Beloved sister of Cynthia Keohane, David Abrahamson and his wife Laura. Loving aunt of Catherine Keohane, Rachel Montisano, Sarah Martinez and grand aunt of Gavin and Owen Montisano. Predeceased by her parents, Milton and Beatrice Abrahamson. Elaine was a graduate of William Paterson and received her Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She retired from New Milford Public Schools after forty years of educating children. Elaine was consecrated Deacon in the Evangelical Church of America in 1986 and served as the Deacon at Grace Lutheran Church until 2002. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for the last nine years and served on the school board. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, January 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at Grace Lutheran church, 1200 River Road, Teaneck on Friday January 6 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
