Obituary

WEBSTER – George J. Kichar, age 40, of 35 Whitcomb St., was stricken ill and died Monday, March 22, at Hubbard Regional Hospital.

He leaves a son, Joshua B. Kichar of Palmer; his father, George J. Kichar, Sr. of Ansonia, CT; his mother Ether L. (Beas) Kichar, with whom he lived; a brother Martin C. Kichar of Webster; 3 sisters, Karen L. Kichar of Dudley, Jo-Ann E. Lukianowicz of Beacon, NY, and Ethel L. Rivera of Webster; several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Derby, CT, moved to Providence, RI and came to Webster in 1979. He was employed as a cashier at McDonalds in Oxford up to the present time. Previously he worked at Mac’s Shell Station in Webster. Mr. Kichar enjoyed collecting sailboats and lighthouses.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26, at 11:00 AM in the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
