Robert H. LaPointe, 82, of 12 Country Lane, Gorham, NH passed away on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Berlin, NH on October 26, 1929 the son of the late Joseph T. and Muriel (Hart) La Pointe and was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Berlin High School and served with the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Bob had been employed by Sanel Auto Parts for many years. The most important thing in his life was his family. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. Bob enjoyed going to his land in Crystal, hunting, fishing, gardening and landscaping, and spending time with his wife at his camp at Aziscohos.
Members of the family include his wife of 56 years Valerie (Leighton) LaPointe of Gorham; sons Glenn LaPointe and wife Kathy and Danny LaPointe and wife Deborah; daughters Kellie Ramsey and husband Frank and Bonnie Labonville and husband Normand; grandchildren Chasity and husband Timothy Murphy, Missy and fiance Steve Regan, Ginette and friend John Fierra, Abbie Labonville, Justin LaPointe, Travis LaPointe and wife LeeAnne, Samuel LaPointe and wife Kaylie, Jason Paquette and friend Jessica Young, LuAnn DePaolo and Brett Belanger; great-grandchildren Ethan, Riley, Ashley, Mariah, Aliyah, Luke, Owen, Annie and Evelyn and cousin Joanne Olson Holmes. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald LaPointe.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 3 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in West Milan, NH, in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
