Francisca (Arruda) Vieira, age 89 of Fall River, passed away Jan. 4, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late Anibal Vieira. Born in Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao & Maria Jose (Pimental) Arruda. Mrs. Vieira was a Homemaker and a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
She is survived by her children: Andy Vieira (wife Mary) of Swansea, Amos Vieira (wife Liberta) of Fall River, Frances Rogers (husband Joseph) of Fall River, Lucy Frank & Maria Vieira Senay both of the Azores; sister of Albertina Vieira of Fall River, Maria DaLuz of Montreal, Canada, Amanso Arruda of Toronto, Canada, Jose & Davide Arruda both of Sao Miguel; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; & many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Joao, Manuel, Francisco Arruda, Espirito Santo Melo, & Maria Vieira. Special thank you to Hospice & Southeastern Visiting Nurses Association for their superb care.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
