Reba B. Ericson, 87, of Belchertown, MA died Sunday March 21, 2004 at her sons home in Derry, NH. Reba was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 26, 1916 the daughter of the late Stanley and Rebecca W. (Clark) Enslin. She had resided in Belchertown, MA since 1968, formerly living in Newton, MA. Reba had worked for Sears Roebuck Company in the Springfield, MA area for many years. As an active member in the Belchertown Senior Center she would make computer greeting cards and send them to shut-ins. She had been active with the Granby Homesteaders, Carriage Town Players and the Westover Theater Guild all in the Belchertown area. While staying in Derry over the years she had become a member of Central Congregational Church, Derry.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly T. Branzell and her husband Martin of Forest Hill, MD, her son, Thomas A. Townsend of Derry, NH, three grandchildren, Mark E. Branzell of Fallston, MD, Jennifer B. Salafie of Stevensville, MD, Derek S. Branzell of Mannalapan, FL, three great grandchildren, Ross Branzell of Fallston, MD, Jordan Salafie of Stevensville, MD, Reese Branzell of Mannalapan, FL, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Ericson who died in 1981.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Private burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clapp Memorial Library, Main St., Belchertown, MA. 01007. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Derry, NH is handling arrangements.
