Bertha L. Andrade, age 57 of Fall River, passed away Jan. 1, 2012 in Boston. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Andrade and the daughter of the late Michael P. Pacella Sr. & the late Irene (Correia) Marley. Prior to retiring due to illness, Bertha worked for several years as an Administrative Clerk for the Fall River Juvenile Probation System. She had previously worked for 14 years as a Health Insurance Manager for the Fall River Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Andrade was a Justice of the Peace & Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, FRA Branch 72 of Fall River, member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 486 of Fall River, the Gold Star Wives of America, Inc. of Birmingham, AL, and a Life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary of New Bedford. She was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
Her survivors include her son: Keith C. Nicholas & his wife Sue of Folsom, PA; a granddaughter: Carolyn Prince of Folsom, PA; her siblings: Michael R. Marley of Westport, Gilbert Marley of Fall River, & Raymond Marley of Somerset, and several nieces & nephews. She was the fiancée of Mario T. Medeiros and the sister of the late James W. Marley & Katherine L. (Marley) Medeiros.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 11:00 A.M.
