Francis R. Larocque, 65

Dateline: Norton, MA

Francis R. Larocque, 65, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away surrounded by his loving family, in the comfort of his home, on Saturday December 31, 2011.
Born in Attleboro, MA on July 13, 1946, he was a son of the late Richard J. and Alice J. (Gonsalves) Larocque.
He grew up in Norton and was a 1964 graduate of Norton High School. A retired machinist, Mr. Larocque had been employed for over 30 years at Invensys, the former Foxboro Co. in Foxboro until recently retiring.
Frank’s passion in life was fishing. He was an accomplished bass fisherman and competed throughout his life in many bass fishing tournaments. 1n 1991 he had the distinction of winning the State Fish Off held in Masphee.
When younger, he was a member of the Democratic Town Committee in Norton. Frank enjoyed reading, watching movies, and was a member of the Foxboro Co. 30 year club. He loved spending time with family, and especially watching his nieces grow up.
He was the dear brother of Thomas A. Larocque of Taunton and Mary Jo Pelletier of Norton. The cherished uncle of Amy Souza of Plymouth , Sarah Dupree of Forth Worth, TX, Rebekah Larocque of Plainville, and Elizabeth Pelletier of Houston, TX, he is also survived by his loving aunts; Mary Gonsalves and Fina Pickering both of Norton, as well as many grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday January 4th from 5-7 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Frank’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Hospice of Boston and Greater Brockton, 1324 Belmont St., Suite 202, Brockton, MA 02301.
