Obituary

Ruggiero, Marion T. (Berinato) of Hingham, died on December 28, 2011, she was 93.

The beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Ruggiero.

Devoted mother of Carolyn Ruggiero of Hingham, Corinne A. Ruggiero of Gardner and Anthony J. Ruggiero of Leominster. Loving sister of Francis Berinato of Waltham and the late Joseph Berinato and Josephine Bastianelli . Grandmother of Tiffany & Heidi Alonzo and Great Grandmother of Annabelle Audino.

Marion is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her many nieces and nephews, she is also a great aunt and great great aunt.

Born in Dorchester, Marion grew up in Watertown. As a young women, during the depression, she held a government job in Washington, DC. While in DC, she enjoyed taking voice lessons in her spare time. Marion was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. After the completion of her work in DC, she took a position in the Navy Yard in Charlestown, where she worked during the war.

Marion continued working for the Federal Government as an adjudicator in the Boston Passport Office, before she retired back in 1983. During her retirement, she enjoyed taking trips with the seniors and found great enjoyment in craft classes. Marion also enjoyed many social events with her sisters in law. She was a member of St. Paul’s Widows Club and a communicant for many years in St. Paul’s Parish in Hingham. She enjoyed cooking for her family and neighbors and stayed active in social events well into her eighties.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, a devoted mother and a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family but they feel very blessed to have had her as their mother and they will cherish all the wonderful memories they have of her. She was truly a gift to all of them.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM.

Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
