Mrs. Elfriede Fulton
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, December 30, 2011, Mrs. Elfriede Fulton, 85, wife of Mr. Robert B. Fulton.
Mrs. Fulton was a native of Ochsenhausen, Germany where she was an avid sportsperson. She enjoyed track and field, swimming, and even enjoyed skiing to school. She became district sports director in Kreis Biberach, Germany. She met her future husband Bob while he was stationed in Germany in 1956. In 1959 Elfriede and Bob were married in Ft. Lauderdale. As the wife of an Army officer, she saw much of the world. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She attended St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Dr. Karin S. Fulton of Jacksonville, FL.; brother and sisters: Josef Wild, Maria Kult and Angelica Matchin, all of Germany.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
