Wagner, Helen F. (nee) Thiede age 96 died on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Helen was born on December 3, 1915 in Teaneck, NJ where she resided for most of her lifetime. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Helen worked for Parents Magazine where she was an executive secretary and supervisor for 30 years. Following her retirement, she cared for her elderly father at their home and attended to her grandchildren. Helen moved to Pittston, ME to live with her son, George, and his family where she enjoyed playing crossword puzzles, family gatherings and reading. She lived there for the last 9 years. She is survived by her loving son and retired Teaneck Police Ltn., George T. Wagner and his wife, Laurie; two grandchildren, Christopher and George; three step-grandchildren, Patrick, Thomas and Jason; two great grandchildren, CJ and Alex, one great, great grandchild, Knya; two loving nieces, Patricia and Debra Wagner; her loving sister-in-law, Florence and her husband Ed Elian and their family. Helen is predeceased by her brother, Al, a former Teaneck Police Officer, and her beautiful loving daughter, Lorraine. Helen was a life-long devoted parishioner of St. Joseph’s church in Bogota, NJ. “Good bye, Mom. We will miss you!” Funeral service Tuesday 8:30AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck then to St. Joseph’s RC Church for a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial. Family and friends are invited to visit Monday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s RC Cemetery.
