Obituary

In Duxbury, December 29, 2011, Pauline Adams Cormier, 79, died peacefully at Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Phillip J. and Mae (Correia-DeMello) Adams, she lived in New Bedford and Acushnet most of her life.

Pauline graduated from New Bedford High School, Class of 1950, Bay Path College and Bridgewater State College School of Education.

She was employed for many years by the New Bedford Public Schools as a special needs aide, and for the family business of Adams and Adams, Inc.

She was passionate about music, especially jazz. She loved to go out dancing and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Philip Cormier and his wife Leann of New Britain, CT, Lise Kampersal and her husband John of New Bedford, and Paula Dabrowski and her husband James of Plymouth; her brother, Philip Adams and his wife Barbara of New Bedford; her loving grandchildren, Ana, Zachary, Marin, Samuel, Hannah and Mari Pauline; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, January 3rd at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday, January 2nd from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or the Animal Rescue League of New Bedford, 31 Ventura Dr., Dartmouth, MA 02747.
