Obituary

Edward M. Lehan, age 92, of Norton, formerly of Brockton, died December 27, 2011 at South Shore Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband for 60 years of Catherine B. (Freeman) Lehan. Ed was born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Edward and Mary (McLane) Lehan. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1937 and served with the Army during World War II. After being wounded in Holland he received the Purple Heart. He had been employed for 35 years by New England Telephone Company. Ed enjoyed time spent with his family, tending to his home, walking and watching sports.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Michael Lehan of Brazil, Patricia Guillette of Brockton, Katie Neville of Stoughton and John Lehan of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren, Kerri Guillette, Matthew, Alex and Nicolas Neville, Maclaine, Garrett and Alexa Lehan; a sister Frances Buckley of Brockton and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John and Richard Lehan and Mary Elizabeth Kelleher.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Saturday at 8am for a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
