Ms. Rebecca Mae Kelley, 67, of 250 Scholl-Shankle Road, Hamlet, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, S.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 at Outreach for Jesus Church with Bishop Marvin Taylor Jr. and Rev. Henry Locklear officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center at Outreach for Jesus Church and other times at 256 Scholl-Shankle Road, Hamlet.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Rebecca was born in Durham on Mar. 1, 1944, to the late Paul J. and Hattie Woody Kelley. During her life she worked primarily in textiles, but retired from the cafeteria at Monroe Avenue School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Denise “Sherry” Lockley.
Ms. Kelley is survived by a son, Mark Lockley of Hamlet; two daughters, Lois Lockley Rainwater and Crystal Lockley Short, both of Hamlet; a brother, Paul Richard Kelley Sr. of Kernersville; and 5 grandchildren.
Russell-Marks Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
