Lillian M. Jacques, formerly of School St., Albion, died Tuesday at The Holiday in Manville. She was the wife of the late Ernest Jacques and the late Armand Lamothe.
Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Yvonne (Blanchette) Henault. She resided in Albion for most of her life.
Mrs. Jacques was employed as a cook by the Lincoln School Department before retiring in 1982.
Mrs. Jacques was a longtime communicant of St. Ambrose Parish and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lincoln Knights of Columbus. She was also a member of the Manville/Albion Golden Agers.
Lillian was very talented at crafts, crocheting, and knitting. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Lillian will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.
Lillian’s family wishes to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and caregivers at The Holiday who cared for her during the many years she resided there.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur A. Lamothe, and his wife Kathleen, of FL, and Donald J. Lamothe, and his wife Patricia, of Plainville, a daughter Mary T. McGee, and her husband James, of FL. She was the sister of the late Irene Skurka. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, School St., Albion. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
