Earlene L. Dixon Ketter, 71, of Tifton died Monday, December 26, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church. Father Lonnie Lacy will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date.
Mrs. Ketter was born on May 25, 1940 in Turner County and was the daughter of Neoma Thomas Adams of Tifton and the late Edward Dixon. She was retired as a social worker with the Department of Family of Children’s Services in New Jersey and was a member of Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton. She was born in the South, moved to New Jersey to raise her children and moved back to the South. She had lived in Tifton for the past 18 years.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ketter is survived by her husband, George Ketter of Tifton; two sons, Petri Lawhorn of Macon and Davon Lawhorn of Tifton; one daughter, Yolande Lawhorn of Ashburn; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
