Ruth (Phillips) Faria, age 85 of New Bedford & formerly of Swansea, passed away Dec. 25, 2011. She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Faria. Born in West Warwick, RI, she was the daughter of the late George & Bertha (Sharron) Phillips. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Faria worked as a Sewing Machine Operator.
Mrs. Faria is survived by her 5 children: Robert Faria of Swansea, Claire Botelho of Charlotte, NC, Lorraine Morrow of Swansea, Helen Tucker of New Bedford, Joan Areias of Swansea; her sister Dorothy P. Williams of NH; 5 grandchildren: Robert Botelho, John Jason Novo, Sharon Botelho, Jessica Silvia, Michael Faria; 2 great grandchildren: Nicholas & Justin Botelho; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman Phillips.
