Mrs. Virginia Timmerman Lee
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Virginia T. Lee, 78, beloved wife of 62 years to Jerry J. Lee, Sr. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 26, 2011.
Mrs. Lee was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Mrs. Lee’s greatest joy was having her family around her. Her loving smile, words of encouragement, warm hugs and unconditional love were freely given. Mrs. Lee enjoyed gardening, floral design, music and reading her Bible.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Jackie Conner and husband Ray, Sr. and Pam Laudino; sons: Jerry J. Lee, II, Glenn Lee, Sr. and wife Carol; grandchildren: Ray Jr, Shelly, Jackson, Stephanie, Lee, Glenn Jr., Micah, Tyler, Grant, Nathan, Georgia, Jordan and Aubrey; 9 great grandchildren; brother: W. F. Timmerman; sister: Lillian Greene; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents: John F. and Lillian B. Timmerman; brothers: Ernest and James Timmerman; nephew: Butch Greene.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Rev. David Shelton officiating. Interment will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Danny Kitchens, Steve Hood, Ray Conner Jr., Lee Conner, Glenn Lee Jr. and Jeremy Nason.
The family would like to thank dear friend Lisa Wheeler, Brenda, Deena and the many caregivers at Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate care of Mrs. Lee.
